Mark and Go to Active Edit

The Mark and Go To Active Edit features contained within Report Writer Word allow you to quickly access a designated area in your report with the press of a button.

If you've ever found yourself returning back to a particular section of your report repeatedly, only to have your workflow interrupted as you comb through the various sections in pursuit of a particular paragraph, the Mark and Go To Active Edit functions can help eliminate any headache.

Both functions can be accessed from either the LightBox Ribbon in Microsoft Word, or by right-clicking in Word and selecting either Mark Active Edit, or Go to Active Edit.

Using Mark and Go to Active Edit

  1. Find the area in your report, and place your mouse cursor over the area you wish to return to.

  2. Right-click, and select Mark Active Edit.

    1. You may also select this option from the LightBox Ribbon.

  3. When you are ready to return to that spot, right-click in your report document and select Go to Active Edit.

    1. You may also select this option from the LightBox Ribbon.

You may only have one section Marked as Active Edit at a time.
