The Navigate function allows you to traverse your project worksheets, or quickly bring a section nestled within a worksheet into view.
The function can be opened by clicking any blue button labeled Navigate found in a Report Writer Excel worksheet, or from the corresponding button on the LightBox Ribbon.
Pressing CTRL+SHIFT+N, or right-clicking on a cell and selecting Navigate, will also bring up the window.
Previous Nav Range/Next Nav Range
Click the blue forward and back arrows to navigate between ranges.
Click on the Navigate button.
The Navigate modal will open.
The left-most column compiles a list of all worksheets contained within a Report Writer Excel document. Clicking on a worksheet name will bring you to the initial view of that page. Further, clicking on the Previous or Next buttons will transition you to the corresponding sequentially-ordered worksheet in the list.
If you create a custom worksheet, that worksheet will automatically be added to this section.
Within every worksheet are sections and tables that are represented in a staggered fashion throughout the page. These areas are listed in order of appearance in the right-most column, and clicking upon a section name will transport you to that spot.
It is possible to create custom locations within worksheets that can be featured in this column.
3. Configuration Options
When you click on a Navigate button, or select it from the LightBox Ribbon, it will appear in a location on the screen that is determined by the selections made here.
If you wanted the window to appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen, selecting Right and Bottom would allow this.
4. Mark & Goto Active Location Goto
There may exist instances where you want to access a specific portion of a worksheet, but not want to create a dedicated subsection for it. In these instances, a user can dedicate a single area for this purpose using the Mark Active Location button.
To Mark an Active Location:
Click on a cell in the spot you would like to reference.
Open the Navigate function from either a blue button or from the Report Writer Ribbon.
Click Mark Active Location.
To access the active location, simply click Go To Active Location from the Navigate window to be transported there.
